Iwasaki Registered Kamisori custom wrapped with Rattan Peel in NOS condition!

Hand made by blade master Mr. Shigeyoshi Iwasaki, this razor is forged from high purity Swedish carbon steel that has been annealed and heat treated to push it to a high hardness level. The result is a cutting edge that is unparalleled and that will hold it’s sharpness for many more shaves than the average blade.

The crasftmanship in these blades is far above everything else available all the way down to the smallest details. This is a vintage blade and it has different stamping including the characters “Registered” that the current production Iwasaki swedish steel kamisori do not include. The full stamping of this vintage production blade is “Registered Iwasaki”. The current productions only have the stamps “Iwasaki”. In that sense this is a collectors item of vintage production. This is a rare find and will be an illustrious addition to for serious collectors and wet shaving enthusiasts!

This razor will be finished on a high end Suehiro, Naniwa, Ozuku or Nakayama Japanese natural stone with a taped spine and then will be stropped with a fine Kanayama cordovan strop for the ultimate sharp and smooth shaving edge. This is a process that requires much time and skill. Every razor is sanitized with alcohol before being securely packed. Note that due to age, all vintage blades will have imperfections. All sales are final and all items are sold as is.
