Vintage Hayashi Diamond H.Diamond 1072 Japanese straight razor in w/ Original Box!

Produced in the 1960’s, this Hayashi 1072 is a rare and coveted blade. It is becoming more difficult to find one of these.

This model is made out of Austrian Schoeller Bleckmann Phönix (aka Phoenix) high carbon steel which is known for its fine grain and hardness. It takes a lazer sharp edge which shaves closely and comfortably. These kinds of exotic alloys are found in the highest quality Japanese blades of this era.

The vintage red scales and cream laminated tang exude style.

The half hollow grind on this razor makes the weight of this blade feel so right in the hand.

Due to the mass, you will be impressed how easily this razor shaves through even the heaviest growth. It is quite nimble in tight areas as well.

This is a process that requires much time and skill. Every razor is sanitized with alcohol before being securely packed. Note that due to age, all vintage blades will have imperfections.
