Vintage Hayashi Diamond H.Diamond Western Kamisori Japanese straight razor

Produced in the 1960’s, this Hayashi western kamisori is a rare find. This blade features an asymmetrical grind which sports a hefty weight for smooth passes even though heavy growth. It is quite nimble in tight areas as well.

This model is made out of Austrian Schoeller Bleckmann Phönix (aka Phoenix) high carbon steel which is known for its fine grain and hardness. It takes a lazer sharp edge which shaves closely and comfortably. These kinds of exotic alloys are found in the highest quality Japanese blades of this era.

This is a process that requires much time and skill. Every razor is sanitized with alcohol before being securely packed. Note that due to age, all vintage blades will have imperfections.
