Vintage Gold Rex 1072 Swedish Steel Japanese straight razor in NOS condition!

This Gold Rex 1072 is one of my all time favorite razors. The hollow grind on this razor is ideal and the Swedish steel is absolutely incredible. Combined, you have one of the best shaving razors made.

It is 100% identical to the Parker 510 made by the same manufacturer, out of the same steel and with the same blade shape.

Due to the very high hardness HRC of this Swedish 4404 steel, these razors take and hold on to a sharp edge, much like an Iwasaki does. You will feel how this steel just bites right into the hair with no resistance. Needless to say this is shave nirvana. Smooth and close.

Not to mention that the look of this blade is so classic. The piano black scales next to the high sheen of that Swedish steel is quite a sight. Also, the tang on this has sort of a convex shape which reflects the light in an interesting way. This is unique to the Parker and Gold Rex blades. You will love shaving with this blade, and I’m sure it will become one of your favorites in your collection!
